Zipping across the Manchester Ship Canal for the Literacy and Wheels appeal. Our President Cath Hilton together with Jennifer White, Unit Co-ordinator, Christine Sharpe, Parenting, members Pauline Booth and Joanne Roberts and Revd Catherine Binns all took the flight to raise the awareness of Mothers' Union in Manchester Diocese.

They were met on the other side by many members with banners flying and a bottle of champagne to celebrate. Over £1000 has been raised and further donations can be made through the Just Giving website.

The new Bishop of Manchester, The Rt Revd David Walker, tweeted his support for the 'heroines of Manchester Mothers' Union'. Well done ladies; we are proud of you!
