Barbara Harrison
It is with great sadness that we are to report of the passing of MU member Barbara Harrison. Barbara was a longstanding and much valued member of St Paul's Monton and a great support in passing on all her experience of Mothers’ Union. Barbara served as the Eccles Deanery Leader for a number of years.
Please keep Barbara's family and loved ones in your prayers.

Mothers' Union Manchester Mourns the Passing of HRH, The Duke of Edinburgh
We send our sincere condolences to our patron Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Family on the sad news of the death of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh. We thank him for his faithful service to our nation and his lifelong love and support for Her Majesty The Queen over three quarters of a century. Our prayers are with Her Majesty and all the Royal Family at this time of mourning. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

Sandra Ashcroft
It is with great sadness that we report the death of Sandra Ashcroft. She was a member at St Andrew’s Dearnley and became the very first Archdeaconry President for Rochdale. She served the full six years and former MU President, Jean Williamson recalls her diligence and commitment in post. She then moved to the East Midlands from where we were saddened to receive news of her sudden passing.

Jean Sharples
It is with great sadness that we report the death of Mrs Jean Sharples on Thurs. 26th Nov. Jean was a long standing MU member of 55 years at All Saints and Martyrs Church , Middleton. She was one of the original members when the branch was formed in the 1960s. Jean, who had just celebrated her 90th birthday a few days ago, was a very active member and nothing gave her greater pleasure than joining with other MU members at events and celebrations like The Carol Service and our celebration evenings.
