Zaria in Nigeria is a relatively new prayer link with Manchester. The diocese was inaugurated in March 2007. It is in a mainly rural area and 90% of churches are in remote villages where access is almost impossible during the rainy season. Workers often have to drive through the bush to reach people and attention and activities is focused on them during the dry season.
The main focus now is on the girl child in the villages, many of whom have not seen the four walls of a school and are married early. They require funds for vocational training for the girls.
