Launched at spring council in April. Mothers' Union Manchester are encouraging branches to get involved in Prayer Shawl Ministry. It is a worldwide movement of small groups who gather to create shawls for individuals who would benefit from from this outreach of love and compassion.

 

The pattern suggested to use is a 3-stitch pattern as a symbolic planting peace, healing, love, comfort and hope into the shawls by the shawl creator for the receiver.

 

Share the leaflet amongst members.  Cards also can be given with the shawls. Put your church's name on.  It's a wonderful way for branches to give something back to their parish in the name of Mothers' Union.
