Mothers' Union Manchester Mourns the Passing of HRH, The Duke of Edinburgh

Loving Father,
We give you thanks for the long life of Prince Philip and for all he has contributed to our nation, to the Commonwealth and across the world. We thank you for his Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme which is so highly valued in more than 130 countries. And we remember particularly with gratitude Prince Philip’s total and loyal support for Her Majesty the Queen throughout her reign.
And at this time we pray for Her Majesty the Queen, our patron and friend, who has with Prince Philip been a true example of faithfulness and family life that is so much at the heart of Mothers’ Union. We ask you to be with the Queen and all her family, and we pray that they will know your comfort and strength in the days to come.
