International students add 'welcome' in their own languages

It was September 18th and International Student Open Day at Manchester University. Mothers’ Union was asked if members could provide soup.

Students were queuing outside to get in and you could feel the atmosphere of friendship. We served soup to at least 400 (it could have been more as no-one really had time to count!) students from all over the world.  What an experience, and very rewarding to the members who gave their Saturday to this project.
